1

Apple Devices 1080p

Click the “Share” button or File > Share, then choose “Apple Devices 1080p” from the share list.

This is one of the quickest ways to be able to choose HEVC (H.265)

2

Delete Tags

Delete all tags in the “Info” tab (or keep just the few that are logical)

So far, I don't see any use for tags in my exported course lessons, and could be confusing later with random ones, if I should ever find an application or method that does pull and display them.

3

Computer, HEVC 10-bit and 1920 x 1080

In the settings tab, select these options.
Additional options pre-selected already:
Color Space: Standard – Rec. 709
Audio Format: AAC

When I compared the video compression quality of HVEC exports with the older H.264, I couldn't see a negative difference (to offset the slightly smaller file size). In fact, HVEC appears to be better at handling color banding (slight changes in colors as they fade to another)

HVEC is H.265 (replacement for H.264)

It has a smaller file size (quicker uploading to Bunny.net and takes up less room for long-term archival storage)

It has a smaller file size (quicker uploading to Bunny.net and takes up less room for long-term archival storage)

Bunny.net handles HVEC conversion just fine in my tests

Choose “Format: Computer” instead of “Web Hosting” because I want a format that will archive well for my own future purposes on my computer. Additionally, Bunny.net told me (via e-mail support ticket) they handle any needed web-optimizations when they re-encode the video(s) after uploading.

Adding Video in Wordpress

Bunny.net

Upload to Bunny.net

Steps
Notes
1

Upload Video(s) to Bunny.net (website)

Go to bunny.net, login, click “Stream” from the left margin, and then choose which library of videos you would like to add video(s) to.

It's just best to upload right to Bunny.net. You can upload a video in Wordpress by adding a video, but my experience has shown the upload can fail and cause more issues than it's worth for the minor hassle of having to go to their website and make a few clicks to get to the right page.

2

Add Thumbnail Image

After uploading has started, click the “Upload” button under the “Thumbnail” section of the video's page, and upload the exported frame from FCP to be used for the Thumbnail image.

This isn't mandatory, because you will be adding the same thumbnail (poster) image directly in Presto Player (in Wordpress) as well, but also adding it on Bunny.net will benefit you in these ways:

If you ever add a Bunny.net video directly to a Wordpress page (bypassing the PrestoPlayer Media Hub creation method), this will ensure the video has a thumbnail image of choice — and not the random one Bunny.net will choose.

It will keep a visual consistency across all videos in the Bunny.net manage libraries area because they will all have the uniform thumbnail images.

    Add Video to Presto Player

    Add Video In “Media Hub”

(And not adding directly to Wordpress page by simply adding a Presto Player Bunny.net block and choosing the video from the pulldown list of available Bunny.net videos)

Choose this method for almost all important uses (especially course lessons).

The (hard) decision was made to create separate “entries” in the Presto Player Media Hub — which requires a few more steps — because of these benefits:

Mainly: I can have multiple copies of the lesson in two or more courses and not have to update each version of the video (especially chapter timecode) when I make changes to a video.

I can swap out video (cuts) versions without resaving the main WordPress page (which automatically alters the “last modified date,” — which is sometimes not wanted for SEO purposes or user confusion as to what's changed, etc.)

I feel safer making (tedious) changes to chapter timecode in the Media Hub version that (likely) has a better “save history” than just one manually added to each lesson that could potentially be lost easily when “replacing” an updated video in the Presto Player Bunny.net editor block.
